In 1904, FIFA was founded, which brought a series of changes in the regulations of this sport. In 1930, FIFA organized the first World Championships, which took place in Uruguay.

«Establish a Beach head» Once we determine which assault method, run or pass, is the most effective versus our opponent, we will use this as the primary means to attack them 80% of the time. The other 20% of the time we will mix in one of the other attack methods. We want to have two means of attack to not allow the defense to hone in on our primary method and adjust to it. At the same time, we want to consider taking what the defense is permitting us either run or pass. Both systems, run and pass, need to be simple yet provide you with the answers to whatever the defense shows you.

«One Bit of Territory at a Time» – Do not try to beat the opponent in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd quarter, beat them gradually, control them. We want to have an offensive attack that they cannot stop from the 1st quarter through the 4th quarter and play all offensive situations the same, aggressive and attacking. We do not change offenses for down-distance, being ahead, being behind, goal line/short yardage, last play, two-minute, etc. The 5 Wide Attack Spread Offense works for all situations and allows us to keep taking territory, little by little. As far as I’m concerned, there are two seasons in America (who cares what the weatherman says!). There’s Football Season and the Offseason. Then there’s everything else in between.

Why do I say such a ridiculous thing?

Because I»m a Diehard Football fan!

Heck, I love it all–as long as it involves an oblong shaped ball, is played on a field 120 yards long, and involves Blocking and Tackling–I’m all for it.

But as long as I live, there will never be any game as exciting and majestic as NFL Football. There’s a reason The National Football League is the most popular sport in the USA. Because it’s the best!

But I know: you want to be convinced.

Fine. I’ll convince you with three reasons.

1) Football conforms to our lifestyle. Don’t misunderstand me-I like other sports too. But have you ever been watching a baseball or basketball game that began at 10 o’clock at night? Look, I enjoy competition as much as the next guy but I gotta go to work in the morning!

And I know Prime Time Football can run late too (for those of us on the East Coast), but at least the majority of games are played on Sunday. And that’s key, because most folks are off from school and work on Sundays. Big Win in my book.

2) The NFL showcases The Game at its highest level. Look, I know that there are plenty of people that’ll argue me down about Pro being better than College (yes, that’s an argument for another time). And that’s fine.

But no one can tell me that there are finer feats of athleticism on display every week than on The Football Field. The amazing catches, the bone crushing hits, and the razor thin plays on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams of all kinds.

I have no idea how Officials can get most of their calls right in real time. Even in the super-duper slow mo replays, it’s hard to tell if a Player’s toes touch the white stripe or not.

How can you not appreciate that athleticism?

3) Each game is so important. The weekly buildup to Sunday is an amazing crescendo to Kickoff. And whether you’re talking about Week 4 or Week 14, each game feels like a must Win affair.

Just think, when your favorite team drops 4 in a row, that means they haven’t Won in a month! And because there are so few games played, the importance and magnitude of that week’s ballgame is larger than life.

Okay, maybe it just feels that way to me.

And that’s the beauty of it. There’s truly nothing in all the world like football.

There are systems out there that others are pushing and selling that work for most people, and they may work for you, but they may not be the best fit for you. Some examples of systems that people may be pushing are to buy an outside linebacker term life insurance and invest the rest in mutual fund running backs. This person’s system may also include telling you never to buy a variable annuity. Every person’s situation is different, so everyone else’s team may look a little different than yours; the important thing is to find the system and coaches that work for you.»

If your league calls the ball dead when it hits the ground (and most do), you absolutely must take advantage of the lateral – it can turn a loss of yards into a touchdown. Every play, your players should be thinking pitch.

Don’t make the mistake of using «leftover» players as rushers. Instead, use your best athletes to rush – it will pay off. A nasty rush can completely neutralize a QB and demoralizes the opposing offense.

3. Adjustments

A flexible team is a winning team. Spend time planning so you’re not trying to invent your strategy on the field. Here are some things to develop:

Everyone wants to huck it deep. While there is much to be said for having some long plays in your arsenal, by and large, you will fare much better with shorter, consistent plays. 9. Experiment early

Regardless of how good your scheme is entering the season, you will be better if you adjust after each game. Each team has its own chemistry. Building on the concept of flexibility, try as many plays and schemes as you can early in the season, but by playoff time you should have distilled down what works best for your team. After a few weeks of regular season play, you should know what works and what looked better on paper than on the field.

10. Flag Pulling

Nothing is more important in flag football than being able to pull the flag. Again, nothing is more important in flag football than being able to pull the flag. This sounds dumb, but time and time again, short dump passes turn into touchdowns because of missed pulls.

Try the following:

· Don’t Wait Flat-Footed: If you wait for the ball carrier to pass at full speed while you flail and swipe at the flags, you are setting yourself up for disaster. Instead, meet the ball carrier as early as possible, and move with the ball carrier while you pull the flags.

· Get in the Way: Most flag leagues do not allow (much) contact. That is why it can be especially helpful to stand in the way of the ball carrier while trying to pull the flag. They can’t bull you over; they have to go around. This slows them down and gives you more time to pull the flag.

· Pursuit: If everyone on your team pursues the play, you will win more games. You’ll have fewer breakaways because if one guy misses the flag, another is right there.
